一開始的想法是想說,現在的 PC 幾乎都可以用 USB-HDD or USB-ZIP 開機,所以就想說將學校有的機種做成 ghost 檔,放在 usb-hdd 內,只要帶一台 usb-hdd 就好了,結果測試 ghost 時,竟然要 1 小時以上,根本是跑 usb1.1 的速度,上網一查,才知 dos 下 usb 只能跑 usb1.1 ,也就是 12Mbit/s 的速度,若要 usb2 (480 Mbit/s ) 的速度,必須在 windows xp 下,而最好的方式就是 RUN WINDOWS XPE ,什麼是 XPE ,其實我也不太清楚,我覺得它應該是簡易(不挑)的 WINDOWS XP(網上說是 Embedded 嵌入式) ,我上網拿的是 NO NAME 的繁體版 XPE,幾乎不挑機器,這幾天測試的結果是只要可以用 USB-HDD 開機的 PC 都可以開的起來,GHOST 一台 PC 約 5 分鐘,而且 NO NAME 又加了一些測試軟體,真是好用,想想自己真菜,這麼好用的工具都不知道,每次 ghost 完,都要燒在光碟片,這次因為想要集中在一台 USB-HDD 而接觸了 XPE,才知有這麼好用的工具,而我又加掛了 Notepad++,putty,Totalcmd 自己常用的軟件,並且為了用 DOS 工具,我用 GRUB4DOS 做開機選單,將之前用 WINImage 做的 dos 開機工具檔加入,這樣以後維修大概只要帶一台 USB-HDD 就可以了.
這幾天在家裏嘗試了好幾次的失敗做法,光是 USB-HDD 就被我格式化了好幾次,不過也上網多學了一些東西.
